The School: Operated under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Archbishop Spalding is a Catholic, co-educational college preparatory school high school serving 1285 students from the greater Annapolis and Baltimore region. Spalding’s program incorporates the core academic courses, but also embraces religious studies, fine arts, STEM education (including Project Lead the Way), the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program, and physical education. This breadth demonstrates the School’s dedication to providing an environment in which students are encouraged to reach their potential academically, spiritually, physically, and socially.


 

Accreditation: Spalding is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement.

 

Admissions: Spalding accepts students with varying levels of ability and welcomes all applicants without regard for race, religion, national, or ethnic origin.

 

Location: Severn, Maryland is ideally located amidst natural and cultural opportunities, offering a blend of suburban living and nearby urban vitality. Beaches, bays, harbors, forests, and the ocean are all easy drives along with Annapolis, Baltimore, and Washington, DC. There is an extensive Catholic presence throughout the region, an added benefit to the Spalding community.

 


Archbishop Spalding seeks a Catholic educational leader as their new President, with a flexible starting date between July 1, 2025 and July 1, 2026.
